HortiMaX CropView nominated for Horti Fair Innovation Award 2010
On 1 September, HortiMaX’s latest glasshouse innovation, i.e. HortiMaX CropView, was nominated for the prestigious Horti Fair Innovation Award 2010. CropView allows you to monitor your crop plants throughout the day, making it a remarkable solution in observing and fine-tuning your crop's growth. It's an innovation that can safely be called revolutionary. By integrating high-resolution digital photography with HortiMaX climate computer technology, you can view and analyse your crops 24 hours a day.
The CropView camera takes both overall and detailed photographic images of your crop plants and stores these, enabling you to view current and past images of your plants' responses in unrivalled detail. While other crop observation systems use webcams, resulting in grainy, low-resolution images that are blurred and lacking in detail, HortiMaX CropView continuously sends crystal clear, high resolution photos to the climate computer’s memory.
Nothing escapes the CropView camera’s zoom lens; even condensation (encouraging fungal growth),
pollen or minute differences in flowering or stem length (crucial in rose production) are captured in perfect detail and can be analysed and corrected using constantly updated graphs that run synchronously with the images of your crop. CropView even allows you to play the images forward or backward in rapid succession, providing a film-like impression of your plants' responses. Remotely evaluating crop development has never before been so effortless and precise.
HortiMaX CropView will be launched during the Horti Fair in Amsterdam in October and will, of course, be on show at the HortiMaX stand (no. 01.0517). A press folder with a press release in 5 languages and photo material has been specially prepared for the press. If you'd like to receive this press folder, please send an e-mail to jveenman@hortimax.nl stating your name and postal address.
